French Consulate

This historic manor is the work of architects Alexander Walter and Léon Gillette, who conceived this five story residence in 1926 for the rich financier, Charles E. Mitchell. Walker & Gillette designed a striking Renaissance-inspired building with a distinctive Parisian flair, reflecting Leon Gillette’s architectural training in turn-of-the-century Paris at the famed Ecole des Beaux-Arts. This impressive building, laying on Fifth Avenue and facing Central Park, survives as one of the last of the grand mansions lining Fifth Avenue.
The Consulate of France is offering its three reception’s salons for rental. This is the ideal space for conferences, business breakfasts, luncheons, gala dinners, product launches and special events.
